Roberta Calarese is an international legal, governance and strategic advisory executive whose career spans global financial institutions, public-sector institution-building, corporate leadership and purpose-led transformation.
With more than three decades of international experience, including over two decades in the United Arab Emirates, Roberta brings a distinctive understanding of the relationship between institutions, business, regulation and economic development.
She played a significant role in the establishment and development of the Dubai International Financial Centre, contributing to its legal, regulatory and institutional foundations and holding several senior leadership positions within the DIFC ecosystem.
Driven by a deep commitment to the UAE’s development and the belief that business should contribute to broader societal prosperity, Roberta established GHAYA to connect strategic ambition with purposeful action. She is also the founder of World with Purpose, an international platform bringing together business leaders, institutions and changemakers to reimagine the role of business in advancing global prosperity.
